MOLDING
Our LIM operation permits us to do
high volume as well as short runs efficiently and without
sacrificing quality. The LIM process also enables us to utilize automation
that improves quality and productivity. In addition to LIM molding,
MED Inc. utilizes transfer molding of silicone. The molding presses, designed by MED's engineering group,
employ a vacuum molding chamber which eliminates the most common trapped air and
nonfill problems associated with molding in normal atmospheric conditions. |

MOLDING
Plastic
and Silicone Comolding ("2k molding") utilizes the finest in
world-class injection molding. Silicone and plastic are molded together in
the same mold to provide a flash free co-molded part. This eliminates
extra product handling, tooling, and inventory costs while ensuring a high
quality component. 2k molding is a product of innovation and engineering
