We employ traditional compression molding, transfer molding, and extrusion
technology plus the latest "wasteless" transfer molding and
"cold runner" Liquid Injection Molding (LIM). From
prototype development to high volume production, our emphasis on precise
process control meets customer requirements in a quality driven medical,

PRODUCTION
Our most common products produced are seals, catheters, ports,
balloons, valves, mats, profile extrusions, and tubing. Our recommendations for the medical and health care industry are based on our
nearly thirty years in the manufacture of custom molded silicone parts. At anytime, MED's sales representatives will be able to inform you on the status
of your project or put you in touch with the appropriate technical specialists
to answer any questions you may have. |
DESIGN
Medical Elastomer Development Inc. (MED) is equipped and staffed to provide
expert assistance in both material and process selection. Prototype and production molds are designed by in-house engineers using
a state-of-the-art CAD System to produce parts which meet or exceed the rigid
quality standards necessary for today's medical applications. |
QUALITY
We manufacture in a controlled cleanroom environment using medical
grade materials to reduce the risk of contamination. MED Inc. is an
ISO9000 certified company. Our material laboratory is an integral part of the product
development process. The three basic functions of the laboratory are material development, quality control and testing, and prototype evaluation. |
